Guilty.
Guilty.
Derrick Chauvin murdered
George Floyd, the hammer of justice sounded loudly on all three counts he faced.
The video of Chauvin’s neck on Floyd’s neck for more than nine minutes was damning enough. There was more, though. Throughout the ordeal, the smug, superior expression on Chauvin’s face told volumes about the disregard he had for Floyd’s life.
Guilty. Guilty. Guilty. Image via AP.
This wasn’t a routine arrest over Floyd’s passing of a counterfeit $20 bill. Chauvin’s action that day was racism at its diabolical worst.

Palm Beach County leaders are responding to a 60 Minutes report involving Florida s COVID vaccine rollout.
The show brought up an early issue involving Publix becoming the main source for the shots in the county, while the supermarket has no stores in the underserved communities near Lake Okeechobee.
County Commissioner Melissa McKinlay, during Tuesday s meeting, admitted that the issue was fixed quickly, once she notified the state. A vaccination site was opened in Pahokee. So it was resolved. And that message was made clear to the reporters from 60 Minutes. They decided not to use that.
McKinlay has been a frequent critic of Governor DeSantis, who has denied multiple claims in the show.
Two Palm Beach County commissioners on Tuesday agreed to end a short-lived spat over why residents of the poverty-wracked Glades were briefly blocked from getting coronavirus vaccines, while Gov. Ron DeSantis declared war on a national news program.
During a press conference in Panama City, DeSantis blasted the producers of a 60 Minutes episode as “smear merchants,” who “lied” about why the predominantly Black farming community was overlooked when all of the county’s vaccines were given to Publix in January.
“The corporate media thinks they can run over people. You ain’t running over this governor,” DeSantis said to a smattering of applause from supporters. “I’m punching back.”
