RSA REPORT: No road deaths in Longford and Laois during 2020
Number of minor and serious injuries fell sharply

According to
provisional road collision statistics for 2020 released today by the Road Safety Authority (RSA), the only counties with no road deaths were Longford and Laois.
The counties where the highest number of fatal accidents occurred were Cork (24) and Dublin (20).
In the counties that border Longford, there were twelve fatalities, Roscommon (5), Cavan (2), Westmeath (4) and Leitrim (1).

While the number of road fatalities increased by nine or 6% there were 1,407 fewer serious and minor injury collisions recorded, a 25% decrease compared to 2019.
