Hasbro Sells eOne Music to Blackstone for $385 Million
The toy company had acquired the music division in 2019

Having acquired Entertainment One or eOne as it s widely known in a 2019 buyout, American toymaker Hasbro has now announced the sale of the Canadian company s music division to the private equity corporation Blackstone.
Following the $385 million USD cash transaction, expected to close in the second or third quarter of 2021, eOne Music will operate as a separate business unit under current president Chris Taylor.
The subsidiary labels owned by eOne Music include Audio Network, Dualtone Music Group, Last Gang Records, Round Room and storied rap label Death Row Records.

Gerhartz upped to lead Red Arrow sales
Tim Gerhartz has been promoted to president and MD of Red Arrow Studios International, the distribution arm of Red Arrow Studios, replacing Joel Denton.

Gerhartz, who was previously senior VP of global sales at Red Arrow Studios International and is based in the company’s Munich office, reports to Martin Metzger, chief business affairs and commercial officer at Red Arrow Studios.
He will be responsible for leading the company’s development, acquisitions, sales and marketing teams and takes over from Denton, acting president of Red Arrow Studios International.
Denton returned to Red Arrow in June last year to lead the sales arm on an acting basis following the news Bo Stehmeier was returning to European producer and distributor Off The Fence. Denton will stay on at Red Arrow Studios International until June to ensure a smooth handover.
