Woman charged with arson after string of Regina fires

(980 CJME file photo) A woman has been charged with arson after a number of fires in the Al Ritchie neighbourhood at the end of April. The 24-year-old is accused of setting fires that caused property damage, but no injuries. A house caught fire in the 1900 block of Montreal Street on April 23. Days later, there were five fires on April 27. Fences and sheds were found on fire in the 100 and 200 blocks of College Avenue East as well as the 2400 block of Francis Street. A day after those fires, police released a photo of a person described to be a teenaged boy who had been seen in the area with a lighter. They were seeking to identify that individual.
