OTTAWA There are no reports of injuries after two fires across the city of Ottawa overnight. Ottawa fire says 911 received a call from the occupants of a home at 3654 Twin Elm Road in Richmond just after 5 a.m. saying they had been woken up by a fire in their home. All occupants had evacuated the home by the time the homeowner called 911. An Ottawa Fire Investigator is searching for the cause of the blaze. A 15-hour stretch from Sunday night to Monday morning, saw fire crews in Ottawa respond to five separate fires in the city s central neighbourhoods.
While most victims were able to escape the fires safely, Ottawa Fire Services said one woman in her 60s was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries after her Glebe group home caught fire.

Firefighters rescued one resident while another was pulled from the blaze by a neighbour at 6 Spring Grove Lane in Barrhaven on Tuesday night.
Ottawa Fire Services responded to a 911 call at 9:03 p.m. The caller stated two people were still in the building and had been trapped by the fire. Upon arrival five minutes later, crews saw smoke coming from the roof and eaves. Firefighters entered the home and found one resident, while the other occupant had already been brought out by the neighbour.

Ottawa firefighters extinguished a smoky fire Tuesday at a bungalow at 948 Mooney Ave., in the Maitland Avenue area.
A 911 caller reported the fire at about 1 p.m., with smoke and flames in the attic of the home at 948 Mooney Ave.

There had been construction going on at the home when workers heard a smoke alarm sounding noticed the smoke in the attic, Ottawa Fire reported.
The caller was able to confirm that all residents were out of the home.
