Adams Police are investigating an uttering and forgery incident that occurred on February 6, around 4:45pm at the Walgreens on Columbia Street, and say a suspect has been identified.
Patrol Officers in Adams responded to Walgreens on Feb. 6 for a call about a masked individual who had passed a large quantity of counterfeit twenty-dollar bills in order to obtain gift cards. The man was successful in obtaining the gift cards however they were quickly deactivated and no monetary loss was suffered.

The party left on foot prior to police arrival, however surveillance footage and interviews with witnesses have provided an initial suspect description. The suspect was believed to be a white male in his 40 s, about six feet tall, weighing approximately 240 pounds.
About 500 members of the Massachusetts National Guard were deployed to Washington for Wednesday s inauguration of President Joe Biden.

Two Unrelated Incidents Of Teens Missing From North Adams
In unrelated incidents, North Adams Police are searching for two missing teenagers.
On Wednesday, Jan. 13, police issued a missing juvenile alert for Shaun Chelstowski, 17. Chelstowski was last seen in North Adams on Wednesday, Jan. 13 at around 5 p.m. He was wearing a white sweatshirt and blue jeans at the time.
Chelstowski is 5’8,” weighs about 140 lbs., has hazel eyes, brown hair, and a light skin tone.

Confusion about whether Chelstowski is really missing sprang up online as people said he was posting to Snapchat during the day. A woman claiming to be Chelstowski’s mother, Maria Critelli, said that her son is indeed missing. There is also a message thread on Facebook with people including Shaun himself stating he is having an issue with his mother.
