Adams County business owner fears for safety after convenience store robbed twice in under a week

It s life-threatening to everyone here, and we are scared to death to work here, said Jenny Pradhan, owner of the convenience store located in Adams County. In under a week, the store has been robbed twice. Four days, two times — pulling a gun is not a joke at all for us, Pradhan said. Denver7 Photojournalist James Dougherty Surveillance video from July 1 at around 7:30 p.m. shows a masked person walk up to the store counter, point a gun at the clerk and steal $400 from the cash register.

Drive-by shooting in Adams County Monday injures 1

The Adams County Sheriff s Office (ACSO) is investigating Monday night s drive-by shooting as a homicide. Deputies are looking for a suspect accused of shooting a man in the 7600 block of Pecos Street around 8:30 p.m. That is near the Pecos Street exit off US 36 just east of Westminster in Adams County. The man was shot in the chest and taken  to the hospital in critical condition and later died from his injuries, according to the sheriff s office. ACSO said they don t have a good description of the suspect or the vehicle they were in, only that they were described as driving a white or silver full-sized truck.
