The House passed a series of election reform bills Tuesday aimed at cleaning up Michigan s voter files and changing the election process to accommodate voters shift toward absentee voting after a record number of Michiganders cast absentee ballots in the November presidential election.
A pair of bills introduced by GOP lawmakers that passed the House would require voters with unknown birth dates and those who haven t voted in a long time to take steps to ensure their registration isn t cancelled.
