Doha: Al Shaqab team proved too hot for the Msherieb ladies to handle as they trounced their opponents in straight sets (2-0) to book a place in the quarter-finals of the ladies beach volleyball event of the ongoing inaugural Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) Beach Games.
With the victory, the Al Shaqab team have now recorded three wins in as many matches in Group C. They had defeated the Lusail and Yasminat of Tunisia teams 2-0 and 2-1.

Doha: The first edition of the Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) Beach Games kicked off with the participation of more than 500 male and female athletes at Aspire Park, Doha yesterday.
QOC Secretary-General Jassim Rashid Al Buenain attended the opening ceremony with a host of other key officials.
Beach games lovers and amateurs, invited by the QOC, take part in the Games which reflects the legacy of last year s ANOC Beach Games which took place at the Katara Beach.

DOHA: Qatar Central Bank (QCB) today announced that new Qatari Riyal bank notes will come into effect from Qatar National Day 2020 - Friday, December 18, 2020.
Here are all the details about the 5th series of Qatari Riyal banknotes:
- As part of the new series Qatar has introduced a new denomination: QR 200.
- All denomination bank notes will have a new design and extra features.
- The front designs of the new banknotes share a common theme based on traditional geometric patterns, the State of Qatar flag, Qatari flora (Dreama) and an orante gate representing the historical Qatari architecture.
