AGOP: Igniting an Offensive Machine By willtakecharge4 on Mar 14, 2021, 10:33pm EDT +
This is the third year I have done an AGOP, and I really enjoy this competition. In these past two years, I took diametrically opposed approaches in creating my ideal Jets offseason. Two years ago, I was under the (false) assumption that Sam Darnold was going to be the future of the team. Thus, we had to spend big in free agency to supplement the team with talent on both sides of the ball. When that strategy proved poor in the 2019, I took a more reserved approach last year, where I had my primary focus on three things:
AGOP: Building Around Greg Dortch

AGOP: The Rainbow Unicorn
What’s up Gang Green Gangster? If you’re like me, you’re starting to like the GGN mock offseason more than anything the real Jets offer. If it’s one thing I’ve come to realIze, if the Jets listened to our advice over the past decade, we may have a few more playoff wins under our belts. However, this is where things get interesting. We have what appears to be a good General Manager in Joe Douglas and an excellent head coaching prospect in Robert Saleh. It seems it’ll take one heck of a mock offseason to beat what we might witness this offseason. So without further ado, here’s how I would finally fix this franchise. As a disclaimer I use sportrac.com and overthecap.com for free agency, and I use several draft sites for the draft:
FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) The New York Jets waived kicker Sam Ficken on Saturday and activated right guard Greg Van Roten from injured reserve in a series of roster moves ahead of the season finale at New England. Ficken, the Jets' primary kicker the past two seasons, had a field goal and an extra point blocked last week although special teams coordinator Brant Boyer blamed the misses on protection issues. But with Ficken out, Chase McLaughlin will make his Jets debut Sunday against the Patriots.
Browns Without 6 Players, 3 Assistant Coaches vs. Steelers
The Cleveland Browns are missing six players and three assistant coaches because of COVID-19 for their biggest game in nearly two decades.
Cleveland makes the playoffs for the first time since 2002 with a win over the Pittsburgh Steelers, who clinched the AFC North last week and are sitting out quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, T.J. Watt and other starters to rest up for the postseason.
The Browns didn t have that luxury and will be missing top cornerback Denzel Ward, linebacker B.J. Goodson and four other rotational players on the COVID-19 list. They ll also be without three coaches, the most notable being offensive line coach Bill Callahan.
