A former Deputy Publicity Secretary of the Igbo apex socio-cultural organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chuks Ibegbu, on Tuesday reacted to the formation of a Biafran government by former Niger Delta warlord, Asari Dokubo.
Ibegbu said Asari would not have made such a declaration if President Muhammadu Buhari had engaged Biafran agitators rather than using force on them.
In a statement, Ibegbu faulted the creation of a physical Biafra, stressing that what is needed was “Biafra of the mind.”
According to Ibegbu: “Following the formation of the Biafra government by Asari Dokubo, the entropy over neo-Biafra would not have reached this stage if President Buhari had at an early stage engaged the agitators rather than using brute force on them.
