Ex-Premier League winners join Rangers in ex-Atletico Madrid youth hunt

Rangers will face competition from Blackburn Rovers for ex-Atletico Madrid youth Carlos Mendes Gomes, according to a report down south.
The Scottish Sun had claimed last week that Rangers were tailing the 12-goal Morecambe winger who has been lighting up English League Two this season.

The Gers were said to have made contact with the Shrimps regarding the 22-year-old wide player who was born in Dakar, Senegal, and raised in Spain where he spent time with Atleti as a youth.

A late goal by Emile Saimovici playing his second international game for Barbados ensured a crucial 1-0 victory against Anguilla last night, during their second Group D match of the CONCACAF Qualifiers for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Playing at the Félix Sánchez Olympic Stadium in the Dominican Republic, midfielder Saimovici brought much joy to Barbados’ bench in the 81st minute. A well-placed corner kick compliments forward Ryan Trotman was met by a powerful header from Saimovici for the match-winning goal.
A native of Vancouver, Saimovici is the son of a Romanian-Canadian father and a Barbadian mother. He played at Clark College in Vancouver and Centennial College in Toronto, where he was named an OCAA league all-star in 2013–14. He has played in both Canada and the United States.

Phil Neville leaves England women s role ahead of expected MLS move

Phil Neville has left his role as England women s manager, the Football Association said on Monday, with the former Manchester United player set to take over at David Beckham s Major League Soccer side Inter Miami.
The 43-year-old ex-England international was previously due to leave his role in July, at the end of his contract.
The FA said it would confirm the name of an interim head coach shortly .
The governing body last year announced that Neville s successor would be Netherlands women s boss Sarina Wiegman, but the plan has been for her to start her new role after the Tokyo Olympics.
