Springfield Meadows A COMPANY in Abingdon is the first winner of a competition to discover Oxfordshire s most impactful green energy initiatives. Greencore Construction’s pioneering development of 25 high performance, low carbon homes at Springfield Meadows in Southmoor was deemed exemplary in the new competition run by Oxfordshire Greentech and the Oxfordshire Local Enterprise Partnership. The ambitious competition continues with the second category – Transport & Infrastructure – which is now open for entries until July 4. These commitments will need industry-disruptive technologies in sectors from hydrogen energy and housing to zero emissions transport – and this is where the climate tech sector has the opportunity to shine.
The Cleantech Venture Day climate tech investor event has been running since 2006 and over the last 15 years, over £650 billion euros have been invested in the sector. This is the fourth year Cambridge Cleantech is running the event in the UK and the second online edition after a very successful venture week last November with over 250 attendees.
