ROUND LAKE, N.Y. â Ahead of the 10th anniversary season of Carpe Diem Productions, the organization announced that it is operating under new leadership and with a new name.
Now known as Carpe Diem Theater, the musical theater summer camp was recently sold by founder and owner Joe Shaver to two area natives and founding counselors Alexandra van den Heever and Brady Walsh, who will steer the company into the next decade of theater making.
Additionally, the Carpe Diem Theater staff, comprised of 18 former campers, released a video to

announce their 2021 season, which includes productions of Singinâ in the Rain, Jr. and The Magic Treehouse: Pirates Past Noon, Kids; a one-night only cabaret featuring alumni from the last decade titled CDTen; and a completely new teaching series, ROOTS: Realizations On & Off The Stage, which will be free and open to the public.
