Ottawa pharmacies say they’re struggling to keep up with surging demand for COVID-19 vaccine appointments as their supplies of AstraZeneca doses dwindle and waitlists at some locations creep into the thousands.
Rahim Dhalla, owner of Hybrid Pharm in Westboro, says his store has already run out of the 200 doses it received last week after the provincial government announced it was expanding eligibility for vaccinations at pharmacies to those 40 or older.
