LAHORE: An additional district and sessions court on Tuesday dismissed pre-arrest bail of the PMLN MNA Javed Latif after which he was arrested by the police.
Javed Latif has been accused of allegedly defaming state institutions and inciting people against the state.
As the hearing commenced on Tuesday in the court of Additional District and Sessions Judge Wajid Minhas, counsel of Javed Latif argued that the FIR registered against his client was false and based on malice. He said the police have registered case against his client without listening to him. The counsel argued that the case against his client was registered on the basis of a conversation in a TV programme. He said a sedition case cannot be registered at the request of a citizen. He further said that such case cannot be registered on political talk. Azma Bukhari denies rift in Sharif family

LAHORE: The rumours of differences in the Sharif family have died long ago and those talking about extracting Sheen from Noon were facing embarrassment. This was stated by PML-N Punjab spokesperson Azma Bukhari in a statement issued here Friday. She said that Pervez Musharraf fled the country while searching for Sheen and Meem from Noon while Jahangir Tareen took away at least 40 members with him. Shahbaz Sharif was punished for supporting his brother and not because of corruption, Azma alleged. She said release of Shahbaz Sharif from jail had created new passion and enthusiasm among the party workers. She claimed that PML-N would remain the largest political party in the country.
Azma asks govt to buy corona vaccine

LAHORE: PML-N Punjab Information Secretary Azma Bukhari has demanded the Punjab government immediately purchase corona vaccine. In a statement issued here on Tuesday, she said only vaccine from China reached Punjab in four months. Azma Bukhari said most of the health workers in Punjab fell victim to corona but the Punjab government had not yet vaccinated 20 per cent of doctors and paramedical staff. She questioned that the Punjab government had bought vehicles to vaccinate the citizens but when will it buy the vaccine? “ The PML-N leader alleged that the administration had also failed miserably in implementing the corona SOPs.

LAHORE: PML-N Punjab spokesperson Azma Bukhari expressed concern over the sale of substandard food items in Ramazan bazaars.
In a statement issued here on Monday, she alleged that the government pretended to provide Rs7 billion subsidy for Ramazan bazaars. “The Punjab government has given subsidy only on sugar and flour in Ramazan bazaars,” she added.
She claimed that a single truck of sugar was brought to every Ramazan bazaar, which was not enough for thousands of citizens of that area resulting in long lines. This clearly showed the poor management skills of the incompetent and selected rulers, she said.
