Asbury Park Police find man who stole $15,000 worth of tools

Get our free mobile app The department said they had passed on pictures of the suspect to officers and two of them saw 74-year old Andray Glover of Asbury Park heading down Springwood and Atkins Avenues. It all took place on Monday when APPD was notified of a burglary and theft that had taken place and by that afternoon bicycle patrol officers Kevin Gutierrez and Tess Martin saw a man matching the suspect’s description, detained him and notified the detective bureau. Asbury Park Police later learned that Glover had an active warrant out of Passaic County for burglary and so after his arrest, he was brought  to the Asbury Park Police Headquarters for processing then to the Passaic County Jail where he remains pending a court appearance.

Morey s Piers bomb threat among several to hit NJ this week

WILDWOOD Police on Tuesday revealed that a threat was made Sunday against Morey s Piers, which turned out to be one of four threats made against schools and organizations in New Jersey within the past six days. Police said the threat was phoned into 911 around 7:40 p.m. and due to the nature of the threat the three piers were evacuated. After a search that involved several law enforcement agencies including the FBI and State Police, the venue was declared safe at 12:30 a.m. early Monday. The entire municipality of Glassboro, 13 voting districts, were all moved to a safe, different location due to the multiple bomb threats, Gloucester County Superintendent of Elections Stephanie Salvatore told us.
