Jumped by 5 robbers on Foster - Evanston Now

ROBBERY 1600 Foster An 18-year-old man told police he drove to the 1600 block of Foster Street, expecting to meet an acquaintance from social media, when he was jumped by five Black teenage men at about 5:42 p.m. Monday. The offenders took his cell phone, but he managed to snatch it from an offender’s hands as the group left. The victim had minor injuries and refused medical attention, police said. BATTERY 1307 Oak Robert E. Redman, 47, of 942 Timber Hill Road, Highland Park, was arrested at 1307 Oak St. at 10:24 p.m. Tuesday and charged with domestic battery. He is due in court on May 5 at 9:30 a.m.
