Knee-deep water in canal after ‘excavation’ After the work, the canal is supposed to be 18 feet in width, including a total of 8 feet banks on both sides, and 2 metres in depth. The LGED claims to have excavated this canal, in Charali Beel area of Aditmari upazila in Lalmonirhat, at a cost of Tk 45 lakh. But at places, there is only knee-deep water in it.
