They showered the praises on Sheikh Hasina while addressing a special webinar titled Political Leadership: Then and Now , organised by the International Affairs Sub-Committee of Bangladesh Awami League on Saturday. The webinar was organised marking the completion of two years of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s fourth and current tenure as head of government and the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

Touted as the world’s largest, Bangladesh on Saturday launched a project to house all of the country’s homeless population. “In Mujib Year and on the 50th anniversary of our independence, no one will be homeless in Bangladesh. Our government is working tirelessly to achieve this aim,” Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said as she inaugurated the Ashrayan-2 Project in a virtual ceremony due to coronavirus restrictions.

Homeless Provided with Homes Sohel Hossain Patwary, from Nilphamari 23rd January, 2021 10:25:36   Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is fulfilling the dreams of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman as her government provided houses for 66,189 homeless and landless families across the country on Saturday under the Ashrayan-2 Project. The premier inaugurated the house handover ceremony virtually from Ganabhaban in the capital. People from 492 upazilas of the country were connected with the ceremony. She termed the distribution of the houses as the biggest festival of the countrymen in the Mujib Year. “It’s the biggest festival today. There is no such big festival for the countrymen, like giving homes to the landless and homeless people,” she said.
