SCHAFFHAUSEN, Switzerland, Jan. 27, 2021 /PRNewswire/ TE Connectivity Ltd. (NYSE: TEL) today reported results for the fiscal first quarter ended Dec. 25, 2020.
First Quarter Highlights
Net sales were $3.5 billion, up 11% on a reported basis, and 6% on an organic basis year over year.
Orders of approximately $4 billion, up 25% year over year.
GAAP earnings per share (EPS) from continuing operations were $1.13, and adjusted EPS were $1.47, up 21% year over year.
Cash flow from continuing operating activities was $640 million and free cash flow was $529 million, with $286 million returned to shareholders.

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Cleveland State University President Harlan Sands on Friday defended hiring a late applicant with a criminal record as a $140,000-a-year associate vice president, stating that the other 37 applicants lacked the “right skills and experience to fill this critical role at our university.’
In an email sent Friday night to faculty and staff, Sands also reiterated that the school was aware that Douglas Dykes was still on probation when hired last month, and that “we believe in providing talented individuals with second chances.”
