Qatar and Spain have enjoyed strong bilateral relations for decades.
The two nations have worked closely to enhance ties in the domains of energy, economy, trade, education and culture, among others.
As Qatar and Spain continue to consolidate their longstanding relations, ministers from the two countries held a joint press conference yesterday.
The press conference was led by His Excellency Qatar’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohamed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani and Spain’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Co-operation Arancha Gonzalez Laya.
During the session, HE Sheikh Mohamed underlined that the Qatari-Spainsh ties are distinguished and the two countries look forward to further boost relations across various fields.
His Excellency Qatar’s Prime Minister, Minister of Interior and the Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Police College, Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani joined the ceremony of handing over certificates to the third batch of the Police College candidates.
The ceremony that took place at the Police Training Institute saw HE the PM give out certificates to the graduates.
A total of 112 graduates received certificates at the ceremony, including candidates from Jordan, Palestine and Yemen.
Several dignitaries including ministers, senior officers and directors of the Ministry of Interior’s various departments took part in the event.
The data e-registration period for Qatar Census 2020 has been extended until mid of this month, Qatar’s Planning and Statistics Authority (PSA) has announced.
The decision comes in view of the “continuous interest and turnout of households and individuals to complete the census data electronically,” PSA said in a statement.
PSA has urged everyone who has yet to provide the required data for the Qatar Census 2020 to make use of the extension.
To make it easier for people in Qatar to fill in their data, the authority had recently unveiled a
Known as ‘Qatar Statistics,’ the app is available for download for both Android and iOS users and is free of charge. Users of the app can find a direct link to register to fill in the data for the Census electronically.
His Excellency Qatar’s Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa Abdulaziz Al Thani participated in Qatar Census 2020 by filling in the online form of the census.
HE the PM acknowledged the individuals in charge of the census as well as those ensuring its implementation online and conducting field visits, in light of the precautionary measures against COVID-19.
He further urged citizens and residents to provide the required data for Qatar Census 2020.

There were no obstacles to resolve the Gulf crisis at the political level, His Excellency Qatar’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani highlighted yesterday.
Qatar does not dwell on small issues, he added.
