Restaurant workers across New York are demanding a full minimum wage with tips to be able to survive this pandemic.
Workers held a rally in Albany on Monday.
They gathered alongside Elena The Essential Worker, a 24-foot tribute to the famous Rosie the Riveter icon. It was part of a statewide movement.
Workers say tips are roughly 50% to 75% of what they were before the pandemic began.
They re calling on Gov. Cuomo to be a hero, and announce a full minimum wage.
