The bid from North Central Emergency Vehicles â the lowest of three submitted â is being recommended by the Ambulance Advisory Council to Lee County Supervisors.
At the advisory councilâs meeting Thursday, Ambulance Director David Cosby said he added standard equipment that is to go in to ambulances to the three bids because some of the bidders chose to list some or different items.
âI did this to make sure we were comparing apples to apples,â Cosby told the council.
Standard equipment added to the bids included such items as Stryker Cot Lifts that slide out of the ambulance and drop legs to the ground to eliminate lifting by paramedics and EMTs; patient cots; a portable suction unit; backup cameras; and a pharmacy control cabinet.
