Wyatt has more than 38 years of city and county management experience and has been the Henderson County Manager since 2006. His previous local government management experience includes stints in Moore, Polk and Catawba counties, the town of Chadbourn and Kingstree.
An alumnus of Appalachian State University, Wyatt was a founding member and past president of ASU Local Government Alumni Association, whose mission is to support professional training and continuing education. He has been presented with their Distinguished Alumni Award and served as the chairman of the University Board of Visitors.

Henderson County Manager Steve Wyatt received the prestigious John Whitehurst Service Award at the North Carolina City & County Management Association Winter Seminar Thursday, Feb. 4 for his service and dedication to local government management.
The award was developed “to honor North Carolina managers who follow Mr. Whitehurst’s example of consistency and diligence in his support of all local government professionals.”

Myanmar confirmed its first two official cases of COVID-19 on 23 March 2020. On 31 March 2020, the National-level Central Committee for COVID-19 Prevention, Control and Treatment was formed with the Chairmanship of State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi to slow the spread of COVID-19 in Myanmar. A second committee, the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Control and Emergency Response Committee was setup on March 30 led by the Vice President 1 to help with stricter administrative measures to control the spread of the virus including quarantining migrant workers coming from neighbouring countries.

Security officers who were on leave in Homa Bay Counyty have been recalled to implement Covid-19 protocols during Christmas and New Year celebrations.
The festivities are expected to attract large crowds, a situation that could expose residents to Covid-19.
County Commissioner Moses Lilan said the security officers and administration officials who were on leave had been recalled. This will enhance crackdowns to ensure adherence to Covid-19 regulations. We have called back the officers to enable us have enough personnel because we will start several crackdowns, Lilan said.
