THE NATIONAL PUBLIC Health Emergency Team (NPHET) has suggested that the HSE could operate some of Ireland’s Covid-19 vaccination centres on 24-hour basis.
The move has been recommended as one way that could speed up the rollout of vaccines in parts of the country.

June Zande of Tupper Lake passed away on Wednesday, April 21, 2021, at her home. She was born Feb. 11, 1927, in Cranberry Lake to Katharine and George McAleese. June attended the local school and graduated from Tupper Lake High School in 1944. She attended Champlain Valley Nursing School in Plattsburgh, graduating as a registered nurse in 1947. June was employed by the Veterans Administration Hospital in Tupper Lake for nine years before it transitioned into Sunmount DDSO, where she worked for 15 years until her retirement. She earned the respect of her co-workers and supervisors for her exemplary performance and work ethic. She was even nominated by her peers and awarded “Employee of the Year” at a ceremony in Albany.
