The Biden administration and the corporate media insist that we are witnessing an “economic recovery”, but it sure doesn’t feel like any sort of a “recovery” for America’s working poor. Tens of millions of working Americans are trying to survive from month to month on stagnant or declining wages at a time when Biden’s economic policies have caused the cost of living to soar. Our leaders in Washington always seem to think that spending more money is the solution to almost every crisis, and in recent months we have seen the money supply grow at an unprecedented rate. Those that have been showered with government money are grateful, but all of this new money is also going to make life much tougher for those on the very bottom of the economic food chain.

Marvia Robinson was dead tired from a week of overnight long-haul trips when she nosed her Greyhound bus into the station in deep predawn darkness. Still, the 63-year-old driver kept a friendly lilt in her voice as she said goodbye to the riders filing past her and stepping off the bus. Rough night, she said minutes later, walking toward her Toyota Corolla in the parking lot. I had to put two off in Tallahassee, for drinking, and then another one in Ocala. She longed to go home to sleep.

Scottsdale s SmartRent to go public in $2.2 billion SPAC merger

SmartRent, an apartment and home technology company based in Scottsdale, said Thursday that it will go public through a merger with a special purpose acquisition company, commonly known as a SPAC.
SmartRent makes smart-home products such as leak-detecting sensors, cloud-based access control panels, software to enable self-guided tours and in-ground sensors for parking management at apartment buildings.
The SPAC involved is Fifth Wall Acquisition Corp. I (Nasdaq: FWAA), which is part of Fifth Wall, a Los Angeles venture capital firm with a focus on real estate and property tech.
