I AM WOMAN is a biopic that tells the heartening story of well-known Australian singer, Helen Reddy.
The film traces Helen’s life from the ages of 24 to 48, showcasing the courageous determination of a woman who broke through the patriarchal norms of society to become an international feminist icon.
In exclusive interviews with W24,
director and producer Unjoo Moon and Tilda Cobham-Hervey who plays the lead as Helen
chat about the film and its relevance for younger generations.
“I do remember that when [Helen Reddy’s] music used to come on the radio, how my mother and her friend used to suddenly wind down the window and let their hair loose in the breeze and sing along really loudly. So I always equated her music with making women stronger and bolder,” says I AM WOMAN director, Unjoo Moon.

The show has earned four Emmy nominations so far, including a win for Maya Rudolph in “Outstanding Character Voice-Over Performance.”

Actor Sandile Mahlangu has scored himself an acting role.
The talented actor plays Sbu Thwala on the Netflix series, How to Ruin Christmas: The Wedding.
Speaking to SunBuzz, Sandile said: “When I got the call that I got the role on the series, I was going through a lot.
“It was right after lockdown started and I hadn’t had a job in months. I was in a very depressive state.
“And immediately after I heard the good news the shell around me sort of broke and I started becoming happier and lighter.”

ACTRESS Busisiwe “Busi” Lurayi has bagged a Netflix role.
She’ll be on Mzansi’s first ever Christmas series, How to Ruin Christmas: The Wedding.
The talented actress, who’s best known for her role as Phumzile on Ses’Top La, will be playing the role of Boitumelo “Tumi” Sello.
She told Daily Sun: “I was really excited when I got the call that I was cast for the show, that’s an upward trajectory.
“If I’m not mistaken, the day I got the call I was at the mall and I couldn’t contain myself, I just started screaming with joy.”
