Today host Allison Langdon will take a lengthy break from the breakfast show to undergo knee surgery after a prerecorded segment backfired last week.
Langdon, 41, suffered a leg injury on Thursday while hydrofoiling (also known as foil surfing) on the Gold Coast.

Police arrested a suspect Friday in a stabbing that sent one man to the hospital following an argument at the El Cerrito Plaza BART station Thursday afternoon, authorities said.
The suspect was interviewed in custody, but had not been charged as of Friday evening, officials said.
BART police found one stabbing victim after being called to a fight on the platform at El Cerrito Plaza at 3:05 p.m., said BART spokesman Jim Allison. The suspect fled the scene before officers arrived.
