Opera Australia in association with The Really Useful Group, will present Cameron Mackintosh s new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber s THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, finally making its anticipated premiere at the Sydney Opera House.
Marking almost 35 years to the day since it opened in London s West End, before going on to become one of the most successful musicals of all time, this will be the first time in the show s history that it will play in the iconic Joan Sutherland Theatre, Australia s home of opera when it opens this September. The production will open in September 2021 with tickets on sale 19 April, 2021.

As if there wasn’t enough talent on stage already, they were joined on stage first by Missy Elliott and eventually its original performer, Patti LaBelle, who taught those younger artists a thing or two about high notes.
What. A. Performance.

Employee Nonprofit Fights Bias With Books

“I was really emotionally affected. And it happened here in our community - and it just felt very real. I could no longer just stand by – I needed to step up and take action for racial justice,” says Hearne.
Discovering that there are more children’s books published each year that feature animals than people of color, Hearne came up with the idea of starting a nonprofit to fund the free book program – “Looking Glass Books.”
