Infant found in dustbin

LAHORE:An infant girl was found in a dustbin at Samanabad on Friday. A passerby spotted the baby in an unconscious condition and wrapped in a cloth in the dustbin at Gate No. 2 of Government Central Model School, Samanabad. The nearby people informed Rescue 1122. A rescue team shifted her to Lahore Jinnah Hospital. Her condition was stated to be stable.
Valuables Burnt: Valuables were burnt in two incidents of fire in the provincial capital on Friday.
The first incident was reported in a cotton mill at Manga Mandi, where the fire started as a minor fire. Nearby people tried to control it. On failure, they called firefighters who extinguished it. The other case was reported in a towel godown near Boshky, Manga Mandi. No loss of life or injury was reported in both incidents.
Eight trains delayed, 14 flights cancelled

LAHORE: Eight trains coming from Quetta and Karachi to Lahore were delayed for hours due to which citizens faced great inconvenience.
Shah Hussain delayed for three hours; Awam Express delayed for two and a half hours, Fareed Express for 2 hours and 20 minutes, Jaffar Express for 2 hours and 10 minutes, Khyber Mail delayed by one hour and 40 minutes, Karachi Express, Tezgam delayed by one hour and 20 minutes and Allama Iqbal Express also delayed by one and a half hours.
On the other hand, 14 flights were cancelled at the Allama Iqbal International Airport while three flights were delayed, flight XY-317 coming from Riyadh, flight XY-318 to Riyadh, flight PK-313 to Karachi were cancelled.

GILGIT: The Pakistan International Airline’s first-ever direct flight from Lahore landed at the Skardu Airport here on Wednesday.
The PK-8453 flight took off from the Allama Iqbal International Airport on Wednesday morning with 153 passengers onboard and landed at the Skardu Airport after one hour and 15 minutes.
The PIA officials received and presented bouquets of flowers to the passengers at the airport.
Later, a cake cutting ceremony was also held to celebrate the occasion.
Gilgit-Baltistan tourism minister Raja Nasir Ali Khan said the first PIA flight coming directly from Lahore also received a water cannon welcome upon landing at the Skardu Airport.
