The Internet Accountability Project conducted a poll in which 97 percent of independents and Republicans believe Facebook and Instagram should not have banned former President Donald Trump.
When asked if Facebook should have “banned President Trump from Facebook and Instagram,” 97 percent said no. Nearly one percent said yes.
The poll also asked if the U.S. government should “have permitted Facebook to buy its competitors Instagram and WhatsApp.” Eighty-four percent of respondents said no, and six percent said yes.
Respondents were additionally asked if Americans should “have more control over and own their online data.” Ninety-seven percent said yes, and nearly one percent did not know.

President of the American Federation of Teachers Teacher Union Randi Weingarten defended indoctrinating children with Critical Race Theory on Thursday.
Featured on the Black News Channel with anchor Charles Blow, Weingarten said, “All of the sudden, you’re hearing people talk about Critical Race Theory; people who have no idea what that term means.”
She contended certain Americans are “trying to ban the 1619 project because it is trying to do exactly what you’re saying, which is to actually teach, uh, factual version of oppression in America, oppression of people who are in the in the indigenous nation, and oppression against people who were enslaved.”

Republicans slammed Facebook Wednesday for continuing former President Trump’s suspension from the site, calling it “the least surprising news ever” and “disgraceful.”

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) wrote, “Disgraceful. For every liberal celebrating Trump’s social media ban, if the Big Tech oligarchs can muzzle the former President, what’s to stop them from silencing you?”
According to
Breitbart, recent blog posts by NetChoice’s policy counsel have argued against the notion that major tech platforms should be designated as common carriers. As part of this, it stated that forcing social media platforms to carry all legal speech would lead to firehose obscenity.
“Making it illegal for social media platforms to moderate content would result in a Mad Max-style, anything-goes internet,” reads the post. “Children would be subjected to some of the worst parts of the internet and platforms would be powerless to create safe ecosystems free from unwanted, offensive, and profane material. People just trying to watch cat videos or connect with their family over Facebook would be forced to wade through a sea of unseemly content, such as racist posts or pornography.”
