Eight teenagers have been charged after a jewellery heist in Auckland 26 April 2021 Police received reports of the burglary at the Albany Mall just before two this morning. The alleged offenders stole a large amount of jewellery from both Goldmark and Michael Hill, before fleeing the scene in two vehicles. A helicopter was called out to assist in the hunt for the getaway cars, and they were found a short time later. All appeared in the Waitakere District Court today, and faced charges of aggravated robbery. A spokesperson says the accused were aged between 15 and 19.
