ALBANY, N.Y. â Albany County Executive Daniel McCoy provided the latest update on the progress being made in the battle against the COVID-19 pandemic on Friday.
McCoy confirmed that as of Thursday, 61.3% of Albany Countyâs population has received at least the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, and 53.6% have been fully vaccinated. The first dose vaccination rate for the countyâs 18+ population is at 72.2%, with 52.8% fully vaccinated.
Those figures rate ahead of the statewide percentages, which show the first dose vaccination rate at 52.8%, and full vaccination rate of 44.8%. Albany County has administered or reallocated 68,321 first and second doses of the vaccine to date.
