Interior Minister launches new Absher services February 04, 2021 Saudi Gazette report RIYADH Minister of Interior Prince Abdul Aziz Bin Saud Bin Naif inaugurated on Thursday a number of electronic services via the Absher electronic platform aimed at providing more flexibility in completing the procedures related to the General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat). This included the electronic card service for expatriates identity on the Absher Afrad (individuals) application so as to enable them to keep the e-copy of residency permit (iqama) on smartphones. It also included the beneficiaries’ communication service with Jawazat to implement services that are not available earlier electronically and only with going personally to Jawazat offices, and the registration service for citizens of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, visitors, and dependents on the Absher platform with entering the border number or iqama number.
