Muscat: An agreement was signed to establish 32 housing units for low-income people in the Muscat Governorate with more than one million Omani riyals.
A statement issued by Oman TV said: ”An agreement was signed to establish 32 housing units for low-income citizens in Wilayat of Al Amerat, Muscat Governorate, and sponsored by Suhail Bahwan Charitable Foundation with a value of 1minlion and 456 thousand Omani Rials. This was done with the continuing cooperation between the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning and the private sector to provide for the Ministry’s housing programs as part of the policy to support citizens from low-income families.”

Muscat: Most of the governorates of the Sultanate witnessed moderate to heavy rains accompanied by thundershowers and active winds that caused damage to trees, homes and vehicles.
Apart from damage to homes and vehicles and commercial shops being reported in some wilayats, there were also reports of fires due to lightning hitting some palm trees and electricity poles.
Officials said that the wilayats of Musannah, Rustaq and Barka in South Al Batinah, wilayat of Sama’ail in Al Dakhiliyah, wilayat of Shinas, Sohar in North Al Batinah, and wilayats of Al Khoudh, Seeb and Bausher in Muscat received heavy rainfall.
Muscat experienced a cloudy day with rains, while some areas, like Al Ansab and Al Amerat reported hail on Wednesday. Many other governorates had thunderstorms, as there are chances of the influence of the low-pressure system to begin. Low pressure: Heavy rainfall in many parts of Oman

Muscat: Ahead of the Al Khair Trough, a number of wilayats in Oman witnessed heavy rainfall including winds and hail storms, the Met department said on Wednesday.
According to Oman Met, the Sultanate will be affected by a trough of low pressure on Thursday.
Heavy to moderate rains fell in the Wilayat of Dima Wal’Ta’aeen in North Al Sharqiyah Governorate, as heavy rains fell in the Wilayat of Barka, Rustaq, Al Awabi, and Nakhl in South Al Batinah Governorate.
Thunderstorms also fell in the Wilayat of Al Amerat in Muscat Governorate, and in a number of wilayats of Dhofar Governorate, and the blowing of a hailstorm with heavy rains in the Wilayat of Shinas and Suwaiq. While heavy rains in the Wilayat of Sohar in North Al Batinah Governorate, heavy rains in the Wilayat of Al Hamra and Jabal Al Akhdar in Dakhiliyah Governorate.
