In an interview with CBS “This Morning” host Gayle King, Miya Ponsetto, clad in a baseball hat with the word Daddy sewn onto it, stumbled as she tried to explain herself while admitting that she could have approached the situation differently. “Maybe not yelled at him like that, and made him feel you know, some sort of, uh, inferior way, making him feel as if I was like, hurting his feelings that s not my intention,” Ponsetto said. “I consider myself to be super sweet.”

SoHo Karen Who Falsely Accused a Black Teen of Stealing Her iPhone Has a Checkered Past

January 3rd, 2021 by lonitaylor There is more details coming out now about a woman who went viral after an attempt to recover an alleged stolen phone from a 14-year old boy in the lobby of a New York hotel. The woman who has been dubbed ‘SoHo Karen’ has been identified as 22-year old Miya Ponsetto from Simi Valley, California. Ponsetto was caught on video falsely accusing the son of Grammy award-winning musician Keyon Harrold of her iPhone and then assaulting him and his father when they tried to leave the lobby of the Arlo SoHo Hotel on December 26.   Harrold is a Jazz trumpeter, vocalist, songwriter and producer who has worked with the likes of Beyonce, Jay-Z, Rihanna, Common and more. 

SoHo Karen has history of unruly behavior, run-ins with police

The woman, identified as Miya Ponsetto, who allegedly attacked and accused 14-year-old Keyon Harrold Jr. of stealing her iPhone just over a week ago at a New York City hotel apparently has a history of unlawful behavior. As previously reported by theGrio, Ponsetto made headlines after Grammy-winning trumpet player Keyon Harrold posted an Instagram video of her hastily accusing his teenage son of taking her cellphone while in the lobby of the Arlo SoHo Hotel in Manhattan where the Harrold’s were staying. Miya Ponsetto The video shows Ponsetto lunging at the younger Harrold, demanding he prove that the phone he was holding was not her phone. The elder Harrold defended his son from the woman, all while capturing the incident on his phone.
