At least four people were seriously injured after a shooting in Northeast Austin on Friday evening, Austin-Travis County EMS said.
Austin police and emergency medics responded around 8 p.m. to a call from the 7400 block of Cameron Road, EMS said.
Medics treated four patients, two of which were hospitalized with critical, life-threatening injuries, officials said. EMS said the third patient had serious injuries, and the condition of the fourth patient was unknown.
EMS said the incident appears to be isolated and the general public is not at risk, but advised people to avoid the area as a precaution.

Officer Destiny Silva, a police spokeswoman, said officers responded around 11:09 a.m. Wednesday to reports of a disturbance between two men involving a weapon near the intersection of Oltorf Street and Willow Creek Drive.
Officers found an injured man inside a car in the area, Silva said. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
A blue SUV with multiple occupants was seen leaving the area around the time of the incident, according to witnesses.
Silva said police are not yet releasing more details, such as what type of weapon may have been used, because authorities are still investigating the case.
A man is dead after a shooting in North Austin on Friday night, Austin police officials said.
Officers responded at 9:04 p.m. to a call from the 1100 block of Mearns Meadow Boulevard after witnesses located a man lying on the roadway, police said. When they arrived, they found a person with gunshot injuries and performed CPR, but the victim died at the scene, officials said.
Police believe the victim was involved in an argument with an unknown number of individuals, which escalated and led to the shooting.
Police have not made any arrests or identified suspects in the shooting.
