Authorities in Las Vegas arrested a man who hopped the fence at McCarran International Airport and climbed onto the wing of an airplane. Alaska Airlines Flight 1367 from Las Vegas to Portland was preparing for takeoff when the pilots noticed the man, later identified as 41-year-old
Alejandro Carlson, running toward the aircraft.
The pilots contacted air traffic controllers and had to abort the takeoff as he managed to climb onto the wing. Shocked passengers watched from the windows as police tried to get Carlson off the wing. He refused to get down and took off his shoes and socks.
