FAU Recognized as 2021-2022 âGoldâ Military Friendly® University

Florida Atlantic University has earned the 2021-2022 Military Friendly® School âGold Designationâ for the second time, based on the expansion of services and spaces offered by FAUâs Military and Veterans Student Success Center.Â
This is the 10th consecutive year FAU has appeared on the Military Friendly School® list. The Military Friendly School® designation recognizes institutions that have met minimum thresholds for student retention, graduation, job placement and loan repayment rates for student veterans.Â

FAU Libraries faculty and staff worked to create a digital presentation of items from this world-class collection of more than 13,000 books, pamphlets, government publications, newspapers and serials, including rare works from as early as the 16th century.
“The Marvin & Sybil Weiner Spirit of America Collection brings the history of the United States and its founding principles to life,” said Carol Hixson, dean of FAU Libraries. “The ongoing digitization of the collection now makes these rare and unique materials available to researchers and students around the world and reminds us of the hopes and aspirations of our founding fathers.”
The team created a digital collection of Weiner pamphlets. There are currently 585 pamphlets with more being added every day.
