After starting right guard Alex Cappa suffered an ankle injury against the Washington Football Team on Satuday, head coach Bruce Arians announced that the team feared Cappa had suffered a fracture following initial X-rays, but that they would take more X-rays to be sure.
Arians confirmed on Monday that Cappa did fracture his ankle and will be out for the Bucs’ upcoming match-up with the New Orleans Saints on Sunday, with backup offensive guard Aaron Stinnie set to start for Tampa Bay.
“Alex has a fracture so he’ll be out,” Arians said. “Aaron Stinnie will start and he’s done a good job for us so he’s more than ready to play.”
TAMPA, Fla. Sitting in what appeared to be his home gym, Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady posted a video to his social media accounts Sunday afternoon the day after his Bucs defeated the Washington Football Team 31-23 in the opening round of the playoffs.
“It’s the middle of January, we’re still working. We’re still here,” Brady said as music began to play in the background. “Round 2 next. Who do you guys want us to play? I think I know. Let’s go.”
The song? “Still Dre,” by Dr. Dre featuring Snoop Dogg, with Snoop proclaiming in the opening verse, “Guess who’s back?”
