Alexis Velasquez, a former member of the Latin Kings, pleaded guilty to racketeering charges on Wednesday in a Boston federal court.
Court records and federal authorities said Velasquez tried to kill a rival gang member using poisoned narcotics in 2019 and attacked a rival gang member in prison in 2010.
U.S. Attorney Andrew E. Lelling’s office stated the 32-year-old Velasquez, also known as, ‘King Booboo,’ is a former member of the Boston-based Morton Street Bricks (MSB) Chapter of the Massachusetts Almighty Latin King and Queen Nation. Named after the Morton Street housing project in Boston, the MSB Chapter of the Latin Kings included approximately about six members.
