SUMTER, S.C. (WIS) - The Sumter County Sheriffâs Office has arrested a man in connection with the selling of stolen goods to a pawnshop.
Taylor James Singleton, 25, has been charged with obtaining a signature under false pretenses, value $2,000 or less and four counts of receiving stolen goods, value $2,000 or less.
Officials say Singleton received money for a stolen firearm on January 27, a stolen wedding ring set on January 29, a stolen gold diamond band on January 30, and another stolen firearm on February 10. He knew the items belonged to the victim before pawning them, according to arrest warrants.

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– The Sumter County Sheriff’s Office says a man is in custody, accussed of stealing a woman’s car, purse and cellphone. Authorities say 40-year-old Michael Anthony Hernandez Jr. grabbed the victim’s arm, pulled her out of the car, throwing her to the ground, took her cell phone and drove off in her car which still had her purse inside.
Investigators say the incident occurred in the 4200 block of Broad Street on January 29.
Authorities say Hernandez is in custody at the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center where he has been charged with carjacking.

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– According to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office, a man is in custody after authorities found stolen banking cards in his possession. Authorities say Drevon Dwayne Tindal, 20, has been charged with receiving stolen good, value $2,000 or less.
On February 2 on Manning Avenue, officials say Tindal had various identification and banking cards with the victims name on them. Investigators say Tindal knew the cards were stolen.
Deputies say he was brought to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center where he is currently being held.
