The record figures comes amid challenges such as the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and uncertainty because of Brexit, according to a report from Britain s statistics agency.
The United Kingdom s gross domestic product rallied 16 percent between July and September compared with the same period a year earlier, beating analysts expectations, according to a report from the Office for National Statistics on Tuesday.
But the ONS added that the British economy had plunged 8.6 percent from pre-crisis levels after major gains in the second quarter, tumbling the same amount each year for the same period.

It has been a little over a month since Wales came out of its 17-day firebreak lockdown.
Pubs were closed, as were non-essential retailers, and people were told to stay home - much like the first lockdown in the spring.
Wales went into lockdown earlier than the rest of the UK with the restrictions coming in on 23 October.
After an initial drop in cases following Wales lockdown, they have risen again, with First Minister Mark Drakeford saying the situation had deteriorated and was very serious indeed .
Wales firebreak ended on Monday, 9 November, with new nationwide restrictions coming into force.
