Terrance Nelson, 29, was arrested without incident at his mother’s home at 18 Virginia Ave. by homicide unit detectives and Jersey City police just after 8 a.m. today, Suarez said in a statement.
On Thursday, just before 1 a.m., members of the Jersey City Police and Fire Departments responded on a call of a disturbance at 18 Virginia Ave. Responding units found a female victim in the building’s first floor in critical condition.
The victim, later identified as Jacqueline Nelson, 60, was transported to the Jersey City

“The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit and JCPD are investigating a suspicious death of a 47-year-old man who was found deceased in his apartment Saturday morning on Griffith Street between Summit and Central Avenues in Jersey City. More info to follow,” the HCPO tweeted.
Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez provided more details at 5:12 p.m.
Yesterday just before 6 a.m., members of the Jersey City Police Department responded to an unresponsive male in his apartment on Griffith Street between Summit and Central Avenues.
Responding officers found a lifeless 47-year-old man who was pronounced dead at 6:01 a.m. The cause and manner of death are pending the findings of the Regional Medical Examiner’s Office.

The teen has been charged as a juvenile with murder, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and unlawful possession of a weapon, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said.
The suspect was arrested yesterday at approximately 3:30 p.m. at the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office.
On Tuesday, April 27th, just after 1:30 a.m., members of the Jersey City Police Department responded on a welfare check to an apartment at 44 Storms Ave., between Howard Place and Monticello Avenue.
A 16-year-old boy has been arrested in the killing of a 40-year-old Jersey City man.
The unidentified teen has been charged with murder and is facing several weapons offenses in connection with the death of Benjamin Stone, who was found dead in a Storms Avenue apartment on April 27, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said.
The boy was arrested on May 6 around 3:30 p.m. at the Hudson County Prosecutor s Office.

The Regional Medical Examiner later ruled the cause of death to be multiple blunt force trauma to the torso and the manner of death to be homicide.
Many adjectives were used to describe Stone including wonderful, caring, hilarious and intelligent but most of all, he was remembered as a loyal friend.

Teen charged with murder of Jersey City man ×
A male, 16, has been charged in the death of a Jersey City man, 40, who was found deceased in his apartment last week following a welfare check.
The teen, who is unnamed because he is a juvenile, is charged as a juvenile with Murder, a first-degree crime; Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose, a third-degree crime; and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, a fourth-degree crime.
Law enforcement arrested the teen on May 6, at approximately 3:30 p.m. at the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office.
