A steep decline in the number of child protection plans for sexual abuse means this form of harm is increasingly hidden, rather than reducing, a new report has warned.
In an evidence study published today, the Centre of expertise on child sexual abuse (CSA Centre) found that between 1993-94 and 2019-20, the number of plans listing child sexual abuse dropped by 60%.
