As hospitals near their limits, Baltimore City officials are launching an effort to boost contact tracing response rates.
The initiative called Baltimore vs. COVID is being led by the Mayor s Office of Performance and Innovation and the Baltimore City Health Department.
Mayor Brandon M. Scott said the city s hospitals are at 90% capacity for intensive care and 86% capacity for acute care.
Scott said contact tracing is crucial in tracking and stemming the spread of the coronavirus. Share that information. Don t hold back, Scott said at a news conference outside City Hall. When MD COVID calls, it s your duty to answer the phone.
