City must do more to support youth David Arreola Nestled between the Serengeti and Lake Victoria, the Maasai people of Kenya have a traditional greeting which has been learned all over the world: “Eserian nakera?” In English it means, “And how are the children?” The response is: “All the children are well.” American culture places a high value on youth with a varying degree of meaning. The tech-driven generations, of which I am a part of, have been raised to simultaneously see the cash value our country places on us and the great social power we wield from sheer numbers.
