Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has arrived in Oman, after his visits to Qatar and Iraq, to hold talks with the country’s officials.
Zarif arrived in Muscat on Wednesday afternoon and was welcomed by his Omani counterpart, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad bin Hamood Al Busaidi, and Iranian Ambassador Ali Najafi.
The top Iranian diplomat sat down with his Omani counterpart to disuss bilateral and regional issues.
Al Nu’amani meets Iranian ambassador

Muscat: Gen. Sultan Mohammed Al Nu’amani, Minister of the Royal Office, reviewed march of relations binding the Sultanate of Oman and the Islamic Republic of Iran when he received Ali Najafi, Ambassador of Iran to the Sultanate at his office on Sunday.
Cordial conversations were exchanged on several fields of the joint cooperation and means of promoting them to serve the mutual interests of the two friendly countries. A range of matters of common concern were also discussed during the meeting.

A massive fire at a Baghdad hospital dedicated to COVID-19 patients has left at least 82 people dead and dozens injured. Amid calls for action by international organizations, Iraq s prime minister ordered an investigation.
Early reports say the blaze Saturday at Ibn Al-Khatib Hospital in the Iraqi capital was set off by an exploding oxygen cylinder. The flames raged through the facility where patients were being treated for the coronavirus.
