Though Manuel has broken his silence through several interviews, this was the second time that the Pampanga-native forward posted something Phoenix-related aside from the one where he was wearing a Fuel Masters’ polo shirt.
A week ago, the 33-year-old Manuel paid homage to the Alaska Aces, his home and family for the last seven years in the PBA.
With the Fuel Masters this time, Manuel has reunited with former Alaska teammates in Banchero, RJ Jazul and Jake Pascual. Robinson, meanwhile, was his former coach in the PBA D-League.
“Kailangan ma-apply ko muna yung sistema ni coach Topex, kaya kailangan maging focus talaga ako pagdating sa practice (First of all, I need to apply coach Topex’s system, that’s why I need to focus when it comes to practice),” said Manuel as quoted from PBA’s website.

FOLLOWING weeks of much discussion involving one of their key players who has since been traded, the Alaska Aces are now moving on and focusing on preparing to compete in the next season of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA).
Speaking on the
Power & Play with Noli Eala program on Saturday, Alaska coach Jeff Cariaso shared that with want-away player Vic Manuel shipped out to a new team, they have now stepped up their preparation and are excited for what lies ahead.
Calvin Abueva will be switching to jersey No. 12 with his new team Magnolia Hotshots.
Abueva, who was traded from the Phoenix Fuel Masters to Magnolia, announced the development during an Instagram Live Wednesday, Feb. 24.
The former Phoenix star, however, didn’t disclose much on why he went on with No. 12.
“Saka na po natin pagdesiyunan bakit 12 (Let me decide for later why I chose No. 12),” said the 33-year-old Abueva with a chuckle.
During the seven-minute live session, Abueva, sitting comfortably while getting a haircut, let the viewers guess his future jersey number in Magnolia.
A certain @chloevyeth eventually picked the right answer as Abueva gave huge shoutouts to the participants of the mini-game, including NLEX star Kevin Alas.
